BIO

Glass is an amazingly animated and challenging material that has captivated me since my high school days in Hawaii. I began blowing glass in 2000 at Punahou School and has since continued my studies in California's Bay Area. I received an undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and MFA from San Jose State University. The desire for furthering my skill has taken me around the world to learn from many generous and talented masters such as Preston Singletary, Boyd Sugiki, John Miller, Elio Quarisa, and Pino Signoretto.

My work ranges from mixed media installations, hand-built ceramics, and collage, to the functional and decorative glass work I am currently focusing on.

I have worked as a glass art instructor at the Bay Area Glass Institute and at Google as a rapid-prototyping lab tech. Since 2017, I have worked at Toyota Research Institute and am now a Senior Lab Manager.
